I can’t say that I fully understand how he would have gotten past the guards and gotten the audience if not for Lord Taira’s fortunate appearance.
I also don’t get the idea that Kaku was in bad shape and the Repel The Seii campaign strained him.
Wasn’t he been dragged all over Japan on military campaigns with Ryumon before all this happened?
