The popular series Higurashi: When They Cry, based on the original work by Ryukishi07 and 07th Expansion, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its anime adaptation in 2026.
To commemorate this 20th anniversary, a special commemorative program will be streamed on Sunday, June 21, 2026—known as “Watanagashi Day.”
The program will feature Soichiro Hoshi as Keiichi Maebara, Mai Nakahara as Rena Ryugu, and Taro Amatsuhana as the MC.
The special will include segments looking back on the series’ history and other must-see content for fans. Please look forward to it!!
