This was originally slated for the spring season, but got pushed back with no reason provided. Synopsis from AniList:
Despite its location in a remote region south of the continent of Felnarc, the island of Clayborne is made up of five small countries crowded together and in constant conflict. In the most remote reaches of the smallest and most peaceful country on the island, the Kingdom of Bayle, is the small village where a girl named Nikola lives a humble life. One day, while she’s out gathering firewood as she does every day, a massive dragon—a creature that’s supposed to only live deep in the mountains—appears in front of her. Just as it’s about to attack the village, a man named Haga rushes to the scene. Haga is a member of the King’s Seekers, a top secret investigation team. Nikola has never once felt bored with her peaceful life, even when every single day is practically the same, but after meeting Haga, she’s so intrigued by Haga and his travels that she decides to step out into the world herself… and then the learns the true nature of her world.
“Quality Assurance in Another World delayed for quality assurance in this world”
True! It has the same irony vibes as Zom 100 getting delayed due to production issues.
The manga series is a 0.799998 for me. Or a 8/10 without the floating point error.
It’s a lot like Log Horizon, that you get multiple people trapped inside a game world, and wanting to get out, interacting with the NPCs and all that stuff. Except that it’s the sort of trashy game that Sunraku (Shangri-La Frontier) would play, so things get considerably weirder. With a protagonist that didn’t give up QA-ing the game.
By the tone of the news, it seems that they’re delaying the anime series to avoid rushing it and leaving it half-baked. If that’s correct it’s rather sensible - it’s better to delay it than to release some crap.
It’s a lot like Log Horizon
Say no more, I’m sold.
Be warned though that Log Horizon is way more serious than
Isekai QAQuality Assurance in Another World.Too late, already at chapter 12. 😅
Fuck! …enjoy! :D
Did we run out of names for manga or something?
Take a page from light novels, can’t run out if you keep making them longer…
Every time I see an anime announcement with a title like this, I kinda roll my eyes, but then I add it to my PTW list anyway.
Also I think we should enjoy this sorta indulgent anime now anyway. There will probably come a time sooner than we think where the industry drifts toward a different trend and we’ll end up missing this era.
This is a good perspective to have. There is a certain charm to really silly story ideas.
