The team’s first mission, and it seems like a routine takedown.
It looks like the big kaiju referred to as Honju carry lots of little kaiju called Yonju, so that’s why lots of squad members are needed.
Honju 本獣 means “original or main beast”
Yonju 余獣 means “extra or additional beast”
The idea of a big kaiju hosting lots of little kaiju is similar to the monsters Legion from Gamera: Attack of Legion, and Clover from Cloverfield
If Monster Sweeper Inc had a nickel for every Monster in its employment, it would have 2 nickels.

I liked how the main character used his experience from being apart of the clean-up crew to help find the Kaiju’s weakness and reproduction capabilities.
Someone said that this was an anime targeted at 30 year old weeks from north america and it’s sort of affecting my ability to enjoy it now 😬
I wouldn’t say it’s the most entertaining or deepest anime i’ve ever watched.
It’s not even the deepest or most entertaining anime this season.
