Summer season looks pretty weak, overall. That’s purely an observation based in personal taste, but I don’t think I’ll be alone in that sentiment. Spring was pretty solid for romcom fans like myself. Summer a lot less so. Not saying there’s none of those, but the ones coming out are of a lower tier, IMO, than what we’ve recently had.

For me that will certainly be Kenshin, Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen. A good batch full of action! 😁😁😁

Def looking forward to the new Shinigami Bocchan season and the new Love Live fantasy series Genjitsu no Yohane (it’s probably not going to happen but it’d be fun if the instrumental backing for the songs went acoustic). There’s also the Hiromu Arakawa autobio(-ish?) Hyakushou Kizoku that I’ll def watch. Will probably end up watching the new Horimiya and the new Bungou Stray Dogs season. I watched Hataraku Maou-Sama!! and I enjoyed the ! one but !! not quite so much so I’m not so eager to continue on with that…

Intrigued by Dekiru Neko wa Kyou mo Yuuutsu but the promo artwork doesn’t look so promising and BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!! but also maybe I should get through the other BanG Dream stuff first (only watched S1).

There’s a lot of movies coming out I def wanna watch like the new HIbike Euphonium movie, the Ooyukiumi no Kaina movie, and the new Mari Okada movie Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou but who knows when/if they’ll hit streaming in the US.

Kengan Ashura S2 is supposed to start in September, and it’s listed under Summer 2023, so would that be a mid-season replacement?

Otherwise these sound interesting: JJK S2 Zom 100 Devil is a Part-Timer S2 Liar Liar Rorouni Kenshin reboot Vending Machine Isekai Helck AI no Idenshi Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero

The sequels look promising but aside from them it seems to be a slower season.

I haven’t watched the original material for any of the sequels here, so it’s probably going to be a slower season for me.

Out of the anime I feel comfortable sharing that I’ll be watching:

    • Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi (The White Holy Woman and the Black Priest) - Honestly not sure when or how I added this to my list, seems comfy though.

    • Ryza no Atelier: Tokoyami no Joou to Himitsu no Kakurega (Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout The Animation) - Based on the Ryza video games. I tried to play the first entry, but I just couldn’t get into it. Hoping an anime adaptation will maybe sell me on the franchise.

    • Uchi no Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi (My Tiny Senpai) - Seems like an inverse to the set-up from Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi (My Senpai is Annoying) from 2021. I liked that, so hopefully I’ll like this.

    • Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou (Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon) - It’s been a meme for years, and honestly I kinda just want to see how this turns out, even if there’s a high probability of me dropping it after 1 episode.

I’ve read the first few light novels of Nanatsu no Maken, and they’re pretty good so looking forward to the anime!
