In-line spoilers are a feature in PieFed that Lemmy hasn’t adopted (relevant github issue). In PieFed, you can use either the >! spoiler !< syntax like reddit or the || spoiler || syntax like discord/telegram to create in-line spoilers. However, like you have seen here, lemmy won’t render it as a spoiler.
Now this puts me in a tough position because I actually like the style of the spoiler that works on both but actually fuck Lemmy and it’s red fascist maintainers.

sync has never been updated since its release, the developer bailed - Summit is sweet though, and fully open source
I guess it’s a lemmy wide thing, and given that Lemmy is developed by racist genocidal maniacs working for Russia and China, I have no sympathies.
