She was the main character designer for many of the Tales games, and she worked as an animator, character designer and animation director on several anime titles, including Windaria, Brain Powerd and Future GPX Cyber Formula.
She was the illustrator of the Utsunomiko (written by Keisuke Fujikawa) and The Weathering Continent (written by Sei Takegawa) novels. She worked as an illustrator for Dragon Quest as well.
Windaria was huge when it came out when I was in college. The unrelenting tragedy lent itself to our teenage depression. One of our anime club’s members became known as “Captain Windaria” because he couldn’t stop talking about it.
