Some depressed weebs are probably now wishing they hadn’t clicked on this meme.

“So what the fuck am I supposed to do when the one day comes that I can’t pull through…?” (TW: Suicidal Ideations)

Inspired by u/pollodustino’s comment here, which didn’t get much attention, but I personally like and have quoted in hopes it may be what some weebs needed to hear:

I have a saying that keeps me moving forward, or at least makes me question whether or not I still have some fight left in me.

“Are there still stars buried in your eyes?”

So far I can still answer, “Yes.” No matter how down I get I still have something buried deep that keeps me moving. I hope I never encounter a day when I say, “No.”

Though u/GaMryous’ comment here alluded to a similar idea.

For the last panel, I could’ve chosen the standard dead-eye wojak most are familiar with (the version with black voids for eyes, but this tired grey wojak seemed like a more realistic version of someone that got the stuffing beaten out of them by life for too long.

Or someone that’s just… tired…

  2. The edited background for the second wojak includes stills from Takamachi Walk’s “A Desire To Disappear”(TW: Suicidal Ideations), an international Touhou doujin circle making music in the style of Foreground Eclipse/Katikatiyama. Imo it’s a great song for how desperately life-affirming it is towards the end despite the heavy/dark subject matter of depression/PTSD/suicide. Also excellent metalcore vocals, instrumentation etc. If you dig their stuff, you can also check out other (marginally) lighter tracks in a similar style such as Empty and Last Light.

I recognize some of these posts might be heavier for some to read than others, so here’s a comment thread if you’re struggling or already pulled under the waves. Of course, reaching out to your friends or getting professional help can be helpful (even just for the peace of mind to discover that a symptom of depression might not necessarily be depression itself), but not everyone has those resources and talking to an AI sometimes just isn’t the same..

Here’s a place in the post to type about how the post made you feel, commiserate, get things off your chest, or, if you feel a bit stronger, to reach out and try help/just be there for others. After all… the waifus might not be enough for the darkest night, but hearing from a stranger that cares just might be.
