Really cute with some dark mysteries lurking under the surface. I love the cast and all the weird yokai stuff going on in the village, though I feel like we’re supposed to already be pretty familiar with japanese folklore, which I am not, lol. I’m excited to see where this is going.

The nekomata is calico and male. Youkai are weirder than I thought.
I think it’s fun when authors write male calicos, clearly not realizing how cat genetics works. Love to see some (accidental) intersex rep!
