Extremely annoyed at devs who think everyone has Android phones when most people in the US have iPhones. Making an app incompatible with the majority of smartphones means you have not made an app
You’re ahead of an alarming number of my colleagues by just trying until you can get it working then documenting things
As a certified IT professional I can tell you I’d much rather have a coworker who got down in the weeds and did things. Anyone can pick up a cert, that’s resume padding. Operational experience is the real prize

Does he have a favorite flavor of boot polish?

Yeah it’s gonna hurt a lot when they enshittify
Old HA logo but neat

Working perfectly then
Not entirely true! There are ways to scan IPv6 space efficiently without brute force that are in RFCs

People who put emoji in press releases should have pebbles stuck inside their shoes every time they put shoes on
Not really a solution without something on iOS
Author explicitly says low maintenance. Besides you can launch a browser in kiosk mode or something similar and get mostly there in terms of desktop app functionality

Had me in the first half
Says personal is still free? Not seeing what you’re saying

You haven’t accurately summarized my argument in a single comment and are using strawmen

What you’re apparently not getting is that even if it’s not happening right now, it will in the end. What they happen to be doing or not doing right now doesn’t matter. Look at the rules of the system

Not what I said. I in fact said the specific company doesn’t matter because all VC money seeks to make more money and the easiest way to do that is parasitically jacking up costs to customers every quarter no matter what until the company collapses. Then rinse and repeat, making money each time. Does this screw people over? Absolutely. Are there legal consequences? Nope, so they can do it as many times as they want, forever

The specific company does not, in fact, matter because VCs have the same set of incentives in the end

Well not really but most people don’t like manually editing routing tables
You can technically use the IPv6 local space just like IPv4 and NAT it all, but it’s so much nicer to have globally routable addresses
