So I’ve always wondered this. How does a cloudflare tunnel offer protection from the same thing.
Not every path is mapped with the reverse proxy.
You can’t port map the same port to different services on a firewall. Reverse proxy lets you open one port and have multiple services on it. Firewall can protect exposed services one I geoip block every country but my own two use crowded to block what they consider malicious ips.
Yes my biggest mistake was leaving a vps dns server wide open. It took months for it to get abused though.
The DDOSED hype on this site is so over played. Oh my god my little self hosted services are going to get attacked. Is it technically possible yes but it hasn’t been my experience.
From reading one device can ruin the privacy extension use. Don’t know if a server would be they bad since it isn’t going to sites.
Should be fine I have never used it in a man. I think it would be difficult to use it in a man with all the blood and other stuff.
Not sure if you know privacy extension is mostly for outbound traffic. When you go to a website it well use privacy ipv6. Can still use management ipv6 for local connections. For max privacy every device should have it enabled as there are ways to trace if some devices do not have it enabled on your network.
And the average person is going to be using it without knowing. And never complain or anything.
Who cares if it access them over ipv6. Their still blocked.
Its a mind shift cause so use to NAT and ipv4. But it is not they hard. I’m glad I learned it, but the beginning was tuff.
The chances someone is going to DDOS a residential IP is small as important as you think you are nobody cares about taking down someones plex server.
I thought that is was not against their TOS now.
NOOO who would ever do that.
I have proxmox called proxmox Docker called docker Postman called podman Router called router Storage called Snapraid but it’s not 4unning Snapraid anymore.
Just as creative as my server called proxmox.
Except how are the swiping your password if it’s https? Unless your being phished but don’t see how that would help because they could just get your second password.
Well I’m running Pihole in docker and don’t have 777 on anything.
Man if your lucky enough after a year I must be super duper lucky with well over a decade.
