I think it is a bit unfair to criticize Fern for freezing up fighting a monster when she did just fine against Qual
I think its more she’s telling Fern to be less judgemental for Stark. He has no experience and when she had none either, Fern also froze. She was experienced by the time she got to Qual.
It captures the melancholy really well too. The atmosphere is perfect.

I feel this episode was kind of weak for a finale. Mana was introduced but she never shows up again, she didn’t even get her second scene, and both Ruby and Kana’s high points felt very short. It feels like they decided to set up season 2 more than actually wrapping up the season. Still a good episode but lacking for a finale.

Kana is the cutest. Her trying to get over Aqua, and then falling for disguised Aqua is just so adorable.
They also stretched the two or three chapters this episode covered really well. Can’t wait for the finale.
It’s more of a betrayal revenge story, except not shit
