I didn’t like Season 1 as much, I think because the story was scattered around introducing so many characters. I also agree that ecchi is a turn-off for me, but I liked the concept, characters, and production value enough to stick with it.
I think the strength of the 3rd season onwards is that it relies more on the established cast, rather than introducing a ton of new characters all the time.
So, can I pick this up and just start watching? Or is there another series I should watch before this?
I disagree. I had to stick with it through Season 1 and 2, but I got hooked and ended up binging Seasons 3 and 4.
Dungeon People and Parry Everything look like they’ll be pretty good, but otherwise, I agree

Kind of surprised by this one. I don’t think anyone was terribly impressed with the first season.
So MC said he’s a samurai, which is supposedly a rare class. Why is the other samurai not surprised that MC knows nothing about samurai clans? They literally jump into an explanation as if it’s completely natural that MC knows nothing about the world at all.

I assume she never married in her other lives due to her bad experience being dumped by her fiance and wanting to live independently. The marriage this time was just a convenient way to live a leisurely life.
I’m really enjoying 7th Time Loop, and Level 99 to a lesser extent. Good Isekai anime with strong female protagonists.
