Lemmy reminds me a lot of how reddit was in the 2010 to 2015 era. I wasn’t there before that so I can’t attest for the 2005 to 2010 timeframe.

Reddit was fairly small for a very long time. A far cry from being the front page of the internet it now proclaims to be. It felt way more personal back in the day.
