The magic system is my favorite aspect despite its simplicity and a few balance flaws. One thing I’ve noticed in most anime is that the protagonist always has a very basic ability/power so that they can fight a variety of enemies and not get hard countered. The same is true for Frieren; however, the big difference here is that the protagonists are completely aware of this trope and thus use it to their advantage. I don’t even know if what I said was related to worldbuilding, but I still wanted to say it anyway.
