wait, what? what?! A new Patlabor movie?! Made by someone who worked as a mecha designer on Gundam, Cowboy Beebop, Escaflowne, Full metal Panic and Evangelion ?! Sounds like someone who know a things or two on mecha animation. Count me in! 😍

it’s an old manga. the change on the anime was to tone down the story and makes it appeal to younger audience (the manga is highly adult only with a lot of bodies cut with lot of blood but because in the anime the ennemies are monsters blood was changed to vomit kind of green). The sad thing is that the manga is reaaaaaally, lots of action, tragedy, politics and highly deserve the Shaman King treatment of a kai version (even badly animated as long they stick with the story, characters personnality and background because it would be better than what we had)

Samurai Deeper Kyo, without a doubt and the anime is objectively pur trash. In the anime they changed samurai ennemies into aliens with sekigara battle becoming an alien invasion. In the manga we are in a classic seinen chanbara with light fantasy (the two biggest fantasy element are kyo and kyoshiro sharing the same body and nobunaga’s almost immortality with his body rotting).

even if its an unpopular opinion: slime season 3. It’s a transition season with a lot of meeting and not a lot of action but it’s ok because they are preparing for season 4 and the meetings are pleasant to watch.

I think we can add all JJBA openings and endings in the “no one skips” ^^.

The first season alone is meh, but the second season twist completly the 1st season feeling and make the whole series a really good full fledged GitS SAC and nothing in the second season feels like everything in the 1st season is retcon based on the reception but a plan decided from the beginning. After SAC_2045 i’m confident they can make another really good SAC TV show or movie in 2023. But you have to accept the really bad CGI in the first 8 episodes of SAC_2045 to enjoy the ride ^^

I show my mother Hathaway and she never watched any gundam movie or tv show and she really loved and had no problem to understand what is happening.

As a better entry point I would recommand Witch from Mercury which is the lastest TV show

except for Cheat skill level up which is just good (it’s not bad but the story is like thanos spending the MCU doing nothing until the very last moment where he finally do something), all others are really really great ^^
