Code Geass and Gurren Lagan were going to be my two recommendations. I think Code Geass is a more interesting story (although the end is hit or miss). Gurren Lagan though is juat a lot of fun (and not as serious as Gundam).

Maybe as a first pass, but I don’t think the current approach to AI models can reliably translate things like this. There is a lot of nuance and details that will be lost in an approach using only AI and the quality would suffer.
Black Clover might be a good fit. It’s long and still making more episodes, but some of the fight scenes get pretty wild. I would say it’s a little slow to get started though.
I’ve used Ubooquity on and off for this. It has some nice features, but isn’t open source.
Not the person you asked, but I watched it, then went back to watch the anime again, and it just feels so much better. While I think they did a good job of adapting it, I think some things just work better when animated. All of the crazy moves and characters just don’t translate well to live action.
I feel like it’ll be the same if not worse for mha. There are a lot of stylistic choices that I just don’t think will carry over well (I mean look what marvel had to do to all the superhero costumes to make them feel more “right”)
I don’t like Ubooquity, but Calibre somehow seems worse.
The download feature is always in some state of broken, but it has gotten a lot better over the past couple of years. If you haven’t tried it in a year or so, you may have better luck now.
