10? I thought lts is 5y?
But yeah, 10y on a version would have all sorts of versioning issues. Though I have seem some old industrial pcs running on xp for a long time!
I just saw your power consumption. 1500kWh/m. That is insane!
Also, cool setup!
I have a Samsung, so it does most of the work for me.
Try yet another call blocker
I think it is on fdroid, but will have a github repo somewhere.
The Samsung one does most of the work, so I am not sure how good it is.
hey thats cool! if it is coming, i am patient :D
I basically want to be able to use the standard search bar to look in the chapters, as well as be able to send links to people starting on specific chapters.
thanks for the roadmap update!

I didn’t realise I could do this with unifi APs. Looks like a good option for out of support ubiquity APs.
Is there a reason you don’t run your own unifi control software?
I have been really getting into logQL, but via the query builder in grafana, and only the basics. It is nice and easy when searching for particular words, or excluding them. A bit like grep
it is just a server-less javascript implementation (ie, a single html file, plus pre-packaged data).
Ultimately, it used leaflet.js and each square is a square-icon with different opacity. but i think you will find that heatmap plugin to leaflet will provide better performance with less complexity.
Still, i can upload it if you want.
Ultimately, i want something that is able to work outside of its own walls. I dont want 10 messenger apps, and i dont want to limit the messenging app that i host to just us (ie, it would be good if my account can talk to others, by my sons can only talk with us).
XMPP i have heard nothing but good things about - i will do some reading on it.
Do you have any links for the french dropping matrix?
I have the container up, but now some issues with ports. I can connect with element in the browser, but the app is having issues.
What did you do with proxying? I was told I need to port forward 8448, but that doesn’t seem right.
I’m using nginx proxy manager, default settings, and LE certs.
how difficult was the setup? i am hoping for lug-n-play type of thing.
ah, yep - that is cool. I expect that i will use Element and potentially another simpler client.
I am also curious about how element X will go, which requires the sliding API/proxy thingo. but that is future palitu’s problem.
as you saying that element doesn’t work?
thanks - the dendrite and synapse experience is what i am worried about - it seems to be the massive implementation that will scale to millions.
i was looking at conduit, but realy dont know what the issues i will come against with it. but it seems to be the most visible of the non-major implementations.
not sure about the shared album.
Albums are just links to photos that have already been uploaded.
I think your best bet would be to give it a go, and try all of your different needs.
Yeah. Immich for the win. But not sure of the performance on iOS.
You can also share photos between users on that instance, and create shared albums where you all contribute you own photos.
I agree with the posts above. Db per stack/service.
They are cheap, disposable, ring fenced from causing issues with other dB’s, exact version that has been tested on.
The list is endless. We’ll, I’m at my end.
Oo. Typically compose has everything you need prewritten including the db.
this chart (from your link) shows that the change has stifled the activity a bit. maybe a 10-20% drop in new posts per day. which is not insignificant. so maybe subscribers are rising, but the number of posts has dropped and plateaued (so far).
But i dont think it will ever go away, it was also my go-to place for a long time. Hopefully more of the posters and commenters head here!
CTs?
