1 year agoWhile I completely agree with you on the asshole part, you also have to factor in that right now the Pi still remains the most dominant hardware in that category. Furthermore, I think you’re missing the point of what makes a hobby… a hobby.
Before self-hosting web apps became one-click install away, Ubuntu was a lot more convenient with newer technologies, readily available documentation, and a clear update schedule. At least, that was my case.
