Why didn’t anyone tell me that Papyrus Tweaks NG is mandatory once you have too many other mods?
Too many being probably about four hundred in my case. Script lag was getting ridiculous and then it started locking up, and now suddenly with that one addition, it’s smooth and solid again. With that I guess my personal version of Skyrim is pretty much done, or at least ready for play testing.
I would guess it’s because having that many mods that you now need mods to mitigate your mods slowing down is so niche, only you and maybe 3 other people have discovered it.
Over four hundred in my case
Jesus. At that point, you’ve practically just made your own game cuz you ain’t even playing Skyrim anymore lol
How else are you going to get a busty kajhit that speaks like a khajit and has anatomically correct schlong physics who can unlock things with magic while levitating above the hot anime hagravens before suplexing Thomas the Tank dragon as it thuums “Oh yeah” like Randy Savage. Plus no loading zones for cities and non killing Parthanax.
I mean that’s just the average modded Skyrim experience. You don’t need 400+ mods to do all that. :p
But there are times where you just want like, 3 mods but each of those 3 mods has like 20 dependencies and each of those dependencies has 10 more dependent mods… 😬
I would do the Randy Savage mod if you have a link
I don’t understand how people can play with ONLY 400 mods. I have 2000+ and I am only limited at this point by having 251 Esm+Esps
It’s honestly nearly impossible to keep up with the essentials after any amount of time away. So many groundbreaking mods come out monthly, that I used to stalk the “Updated” tab just about every day.
There are so many essential and almost mandatory mods for Skyrim, lists get outdated fast. Though Lexy’s LOTD list has an entire section of mostly up to date things. I’d recommend giving it a skim, though it may want you to install more mods.
There are a lot more essential mods for improving the engine, most notable SSEEngineFixes
