i was a little disappointed to see there aren’t many spinoffs or anything. i’m hungry for in-universe content but also generally for similar media. i love the noir and dystopian vibes, and just the way the plot progresses. does anyone have recommendations for similar anime?

Wolfs’s Rain had a similar apocalyptic vibe to it
I watched it for the third time this year, always a good watch. I think Ghost in the Shell might have similar vibes?

Very similar themes, but taken to far greater extremes. If Ergo Proxy is beer, then Texhnolyze is absinthe.
It’s been a long time, but I think I remember Witch Hunter Robin having a similar-ish feel having also been produced in the 2000s.
