The future is coming whether we fight it or not. High schoolers fuckin love AI slop. Eventually, all of us who remembered the old days of human created media will die, and the people who grew up with slop being the only thing they know will take our place, and our societal standards will lower more and more.
Anecdotally, I’ve heard that many high schoolers hate AI slop, with “AI” frequently being used as a pejorative to describe low effort, low quality productions lacking sincerity or ingenuity.
Granted, “high schoolers” aren’t a monolith, but I don’t buy that the future is already written, and I’d urge everyone to fight back and remain optimistic instead of giving in to dark visions of what might be.
