I thought the traitorous maid was going to get won over by Roland, but she didn’t even appear on screen.

The entire Witch Protection Association? That was an easy out to build his harem…

Will Anna suffer a fate like this? Stay tuned.

Lots of interesting exposition in this one. Nightingale’s an interesting addition to the witches - I was sort of waiting for her, when she said that Roland wasn’t afraid of her, to amend that to clarify that he wasn’t afraid of her as a witch. Obviously though, as a beautiful and playfully seductive woman, she does at least keep him a bit off-balance. And Roland showing Anna how to turn her flame into a welding torch made me chuckle - not very realistic without fuel, even with the witch thing, but still pretty cool. And speaking of Anna, her loyalty to Roland seems like it might go beyond just loyalty…

Baron Boris is playing just the role it was obvious he was going to play from the first moment I saw his character design. He’s likely going to die, and as a direct consequence of his own corruption rather than anyone else’s actions, and I have to admit I’m looking forward to it.

All in all, I’m still quite impressed by this. It’s a solid story told well, and at least hasn’t stumbled yet.

Well, that is unwatchable on Crunchyroll. The subtitles are so far off it is impossible to follow.
