Love Arakawa. In the west, calling a girl a cow is a grave insult. But it’s right in her name, and she leaned straight into it, and that’s awesome. She owned it.

My wife has fully collected the Fullmetal Alchemist manga, and read all of it. I’ve only watched the anime. But I am aware she has little “self portraits” of herself as a cow in the FMA manga.

Silver Spoon never appealed to me, but I’m interested in Demons of the Shadow Realm. (Daemons? It’s cyberpunk?) I’ve only heard the name, but it might be up my alley.

Daemons is not cyberpunk, it’s mostly fantasy and that’s about all I can say about it until you’ve seen/read it. It’s a good anime so far. I recommend it!

What I meant was I know daemon as a computer term, so it tends to get used in cyberpunk. It’s an old term for, without looking it up (so I’m not sure if it’s 100% accurate but it’s my understanding), a program that runs in the background, like a service rather than a user-facing application.

Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if the English word “demon” comes from the Old English “daemon” in much the same way that today’s English (British) people say “encyclopaedia” or “paediatrician”; American English drops one of the two vowels and English keeps them, whereas once the letters were fused (I’m not sure what the term is).

        Anyway, thanks for the recommendation.
