So far, I’m only watching Clevatess S2. Its OP can’t be compared to S1’s.

The anime is still enjoyable, but unfortunately it does seem to fall into the stereotypical magic school tropes, as I was afraid of. A prestige magic school with a dark secret, social hierarchy decided by aptitude for magic, and pompeous rich twats that think they’re all that. The main characters and the wider setting make up for it though.

    Themes

You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 ED: “Unmei no Kimi” by Mega Shinnosuke - my favourite theme of the season. I never skip it. Honda’s aura? Unmatched.

World Is Dancing OP: “Shuushou” by Macaroni Empitsu - mesmerizing visual mix, and the song really complements it.

Draw This, Then Die! ED: “Conifer” by Regal Lily - although its OP and ED are quite similar in style, I prefer Regal Lily’s song.

You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 OP: “Neko Jarashi” by 7co - not as visually impressive as the first OP but still very fun. I like the outfits and how the credits are incorporated into the scene with different typesetting to match it.

Jaadugar ED: “Hoshi” by Ziyoou-vachi - pretty and bittersweet.

Please Excuse My Younger Brothers ED: “Clover” by Reira Ushio - warm and cute.

Lara’s OP and ED are wonderful visually, but I don’t care for the songs so I rarely watch them.

The Elusive Samurai Season 2 OP and ED are slowly growing on me, but I knew I wouldn’t like them as much as the first season themes.

I was having a grand ol’ time at Open Sauce last week, but today I’ve finally gotten caught up on some stuff:

    • Daemons of the Shadow Realm continues to absolutely kill it. The FMA reference in last week’s episode was executed perfectly.
    • The Ghost in the Shell’s first episode got my hopes up. Today I watched episodes 2 and 3 and now I’m just happy that I live in a world where this adaptation exists. Truly excellent
    • The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really REALLY Love You just released two absolutely hilarious episodes in a row. I can’t blame you if you bounced off either at the title or at one of the more controversial girlfriends, but I can say you’re missing out.
    • You and I Are Polar Opposites continues to be cute as hell.
    • Jaadugar is unfortunately something I still need to get caught up on. It’ll happen though!
    • Kaiju Girl Caramelise is sweet, but I don’t think it quite stands up to You and I are Polar Opposites.
    • The Exiled Heavy Knight bla bla bla is kind of difficult to look at because of the cinematography, but I’m pleased to report that GoHands has finally made a plot that’s merely mediocre instead of outright terrible. Their previous shows were so cringe I couldn’t last through an episode, but we have officially hit “so bad it’s good” territory (as opposed to whatever territory things like Hand Shakers and The Star Wars Holiday Special fall under)

Edit: all of the non-GoHands shows on this list have decent or good OPs and EDs, but none of them are really sticking out to me tbh.

Chainsmoker Cat OP isn’t just hands down the best OP of the season, it’s a pretty strong contender for best OP of all time. I don’t know what’s more insane, this OP, or, uh, the rest of the show.

I enjoyed Yani Neko but not everyone thinks graphic vomitting and diarrhea are funny.

I started watching JoJo season one, eight episodes in. I dunno, it’s not grabbing me.

Similar to Hellsing, watched the first two episodes, people spoke so highly of it.

Absolutely fair. The 1st arc, Phantom Blood, of JoJo is also by far the weakest and sometimes kind of a slog. It is an important one though.

The 2nd arc, Battle Tendency, is where it starts getting good. That one starts at ep 10 I believe.

I just discovered Hell Mode and was really pleasantly surprised. The show is pretty solid and I like that the MC It’s basically farming 24/7 in the background and still getting left behind rather than just one shotting everything

Same here. In addition, this has the potential to be the best Bandori anime yet.
