    That last flashback is a good reminder of Rentarou’s high EQ / non-denseness. In fact, non-denseness is now one of my criteria for favourite romance / romcom MCs.

      It’s hilarious that the protagonist’s name (Rentaro) is the complete opposite of what an English-speaker would think. That honor belongs to Rent-a-Girlfriend’s Kazuya.

        Rentarou’s name makes more sense in Japanese. In case you aren’t already aware, all of their names are puns 😆
