Well… that was a very uncomfortable watch. I could feel the tension as the episode proceeded. Viola “let” Ritsu move to MewType, but the main conflict this time is intra-band, and largely because Nono-chan can’t read the room. Viola’s just eating popcorn right now.
I feel sorry for Miyako. Taking all those duties (school, manga, band) had to lead to burnout sooner or later. Not surprised she snapped like that.
I also feel that this is a very grounded take on conflicts between characters their age. In comparison with new-gen Bandori, MyGO!!!!! seemed more reflective of adult interpersonal conflicts, and Ave Mujica’s is more grandiose and theatrical.

Done!
I hope they start showing the backstories of various characters (minus Arale and Ritsu) soon. Otherwise, the plot is starting to feel hollow.
It’s especially needed for Viola. Why is she doing all this?
Initially, I chalked it up to her own selfish ambition: to build her own personal brand (as opposed to the band’s). But now these actions are destructive whilst not providing much benefit to herself or her band.
The anime is now trying to paint her as a psycho, but psychopathy doesn’t arise out of nowhere. Historically, they’ve had circumstances that pushed them to become the persons they are.
I need to know her motivations! Or at least how she came to be the way she is!
