Yumemita beat the allegations that it’s good only because of Viola.
Lots to unpack here. In one episode, it managed to elaborate BOTH Yuno and Nonoka’s backstories in a satisfactory way. Koharu reminds me a lot of Kasumi, though her passions are outside of band, so supremacy only lasted a year. Yuno was the only one serious about music, so she developed attachment issues with being part of a band. In other words, she quit MewType assuming that the others would leave it soon. Where she’s wrong is that her bandmates this time genuinely want to stay.
Nonoka is down worse for Yuno than Miyako is for Viola. Did not see that coming.
It took an IRL meeting with everyone to more or less resolve their intra-band conflict. The impromptu songmaking session by the fire is great, and I look forward to hearing it later on.
Arale’s diary is probably the Chekhov’s Gun that would defeat Viola’s manipulations. She did not mention that she writes to it everyday for nothing.
I can safely say the show balanced the kirakira-dokidoki of the OG 3 seasons and the tension and high drama of AveMyGO. I missed my kirakira-dokidoki.

Dude, you read my mind.
I was going to nominate this exact screenshot as the episode banner.
