    I was hoping it’s going to be funny. So far it isn’t. Gives much more CGDCT (killing zombie) vibes instead of comedic. Also, it’s only been 13 years, and they already don’t know what a building is? Is their village under a rock or something?

      The translation is the problem here. “Biru”, while short for “building”, specifically refers to modern, multi-storey buildings (apartment buildings, office buildings etc.). Their village presumably has buildings (“tatemono”) like houses, just not the kind that would be described as “biru”.
