I have a well configured arr stack , i am sure of this because i used YAMS (Yet Another Media Server) to get it to work , but when i try to download using qbittorent the downloads don’t go through like 90 % of the time . Most of them just end up getting stuck like in the picture .
Not all of them get stuck like that , i was able to download some albums from Lidarr , but really it’s a hit and miss and most of the time it’s a miss. :(
If you have an arr stack , have you faced this kind of problem before ? if so how did you handle it ?
I don’t know how YAMS is set up, but I keep my arr stack and my torrent docker setup completely separate, on separate computers. I use the qbittorrent PIA docker image (since my VPN is PIA) on a separate, dedicated mini PC so it only has Internet if it’s connected to the VPN. I just use a static IP for both PCs on my internal network and point the arr stack at the torrent client to handle everything.
Not sure if separating them is the right solution for you, but if all else fails, it might be with a try. I prefer it that way so I can literally just unplug or turn off the torrent box if I need to without disrupting my actual media server.
Your qbit is firewalled (see the orange flame), you want a vpn that can do port forwarding. Public trackers also lie about seed counts so you can try raising the minimum seed counts in the arrs for that trackers, in this case it looks like there are zero seeders. Public torrents also generally will have many of the trackers fail to connect like in your screenshot, not necessarily bad as long as you address the other two issues.
Check if you have a misconfigured firewall, but that torrent looks like it may just be dead
Yes i’ll check , thanks !
You can see in the screenshot that you’re failing to connect to the trackers.
Try their URLs with curl or in a browser.
If you put qbt behind a VPN, then that’s probably the issue.
First thought is VPN port issue. I recall changing from Mullvad to ProtonVPN because Mullvad wasn’t’ doing the port forwarding correctly… or so says the robot.
mullvad doesn’t support P2P and port forwarding at all, it’s not that it doesn’t do it correctly.
If your downloads are getting stuck then no, it’s not set up properly. Double check your filters and custom format rules. Also, you can use Cleanuparr to automatically remove stalled downloads and trigger a new search.
I see , so your downloads don’t get stuck like that most of the time?
That torrent has no seeds. The column seeds says 0(0).
Some torrent terminology: Seeds are clients that say they have the full download, they make the system work.
Peers are clients that are trying to download, that one shows 1(2). That implies there are two clients, and you are connected to one of them. They may also have none of the download yet, and without a seed, neither of you will.
Well, no. If they do because I’m looking for something more obscure, cleanuparr removes the dead torrent on its own. Check your indexers in prowlarr. You probably need to add some more to get decent results that have more seeds.
There are no available seeders on that torrent. Pick a different one.
Could be a VPN issue. I’ve had issues like this that I’ve fixed by changing my exit server. But I’m unsure what the root cause was in those cases.
Oh, and in the case of the torrent on screen, i just noticed it has no seeders, that would be a problem.
I have Hermes installed and use Claude for all troubleshooting. Works absolutely fantastic telling me what’s wrong.
Or just use opencode with a provided free model. Should be even simpler and and you don’t give money to anthrophic.
Every local model I’ve run has been garbage code and troubleshooting. I only use local for non technical stuff. Using qwen2b with your local configuration seems primed for hassle.
telling me what’s wrong
How do you verify the accuracy?
I get a diff and shit works
Thanks!
