Alright, I didn’t plan to watch this, but I binged all available episodes. After seeing Suikoden, and some comments under other episode threads, my expectations were practically nonexistent. So I’m quite surprised to notice this isn’t bad at all, and fortunately it’s more comedic than it is edgy. It gives me some impression of a one-trick pony, but so far it plays it out pretty well. And it’s actually pretty well animated for this kind of story. The direction also feels much better than that other Konami studio show. Hopefully it won’t start dragging in the school arc, like so many other stories that use that setting.
