You can’t see it from an .ml account, but compared to ani.social, anime-related communities are essentially dead on .ml.
If you’re an anime fan, having an account on .ml cuts you off from most of the relevant activity on the threadiverse.

Well, if the admins did that, they must have had a good reason.
The initial reason given was CSAM, which was bogus. They then backtracked on that because there wasn’t anything to actually point fingers at.
Still they didn’t actually re-federate, the reason given was essentially “too much anime art”.
This leaves .ml in a state of limbo where being an anime fan with an account on here, leaves you cut off from 90% of other users engaging with the fandom. !anime@ani.social, !manga@ani.social, !dungeonmeshi@ani.social, !anime_art@ani.social.
