Agree about Re:Monster. It front-loaded all the appealing world building, and then gave up for self-insert tropes.

Good season. Winter was better, but there was still good eatin’
Yes. Yes she would.
Insulting last episode by an insulting MC.
For sure, the OP to Assassin’s Pride. Great song, forgettable show.
I like how the catch-up for Shield Hero is just 12 eps.
Good slice of life around a theme? Silver Spoon season one and two. The 4H show you never knew you needed. It’s an older title, but I believe it checks out.
I think this was the best isekai of the season. It started out really slow, but became one of the ones I looked forward to each week.
I’m serious, Sweet Reincarnation, the title was yours to lose, and damn if you didn’t do just that.
Those gawddamn onion cutting ninjas. They’re everywhere in this ep.
Cour two is just ep 9, 10, 11 and 12.
I watched all of cour 1 for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale and, considering how Ann returned Challe’s wing to him in ep 4 (taking and retaining a fairy’s wing gives you command power over said fairy i.e. slavery), any plausible theme of elevation due to involuntary servitude was removed and it continued on as a cute talented female protag artisan trying to make her way in the world, with too many pretty boys.
I, too, gave Spellblades 1.5 episodes , and will watch it… only if there’s nothing else new to watch. There’s always something new to watch.
Murder Farce has been great so far. Animation, pacing, story are on point, but the snark is why you stay.
Same story about Zom 100 and Link Click. Didn’t even know about Link Click season 1. That alone will probably keep me from watching Spellblades.
The only trash I’ll order off the menu is Tiny Sempai. I’m a sucker for office SoL. That’s also why I’m ranking Masterful Cat higher in my books.
Binged all of Ooku: the Inner Chambers. You likely want to have a deep interest in Edo-era culture and palace politics to appreciate the gender swap thesis. I was left just a tiny bit cold in how episode 1 set up a great historical question, which the series answered well, but it never returned at the end to say, “wow, this is why things are they way they are”, which made me wonder if there’d be a second season. Since it’s Netflix, prolly not.
The new season is pretty good relative to the OG, but nothing can match the OP and ED music of the original.
There’s some very fine sakuga combat moments in there that seem like they’re animated on the ones and will definitely be on someone’s sizzle reel. Trigger ftw.
That prince was one-dimensional for an OP. His haranguing the witch got old quick.
That was one of the most memorable moments of the season. Awesome pilot episode. Magic and combat and character-level-worldbuilding… Episode 2 starts where 1 left off… and then this bubble-gum saytang cutesy OP fires up, completely changing the tone of the show. Still enjoyed it. Rys is top 5 berstgirl of the season.
