This show is very dumb. I don’t think that general audiences would like it very much as it depends a lot on you, the viewer, having a ton of knowledge of genre tropes that it uses for jokes.

My brain has stewed in the isekai scene long enough that I have actually enjoyed it in a turn your brain off kind of way. I have seen people compare it to The Eminence in Shadow before, but I don’t think it rises to the same level as TEIS when it comes to parody. However, it is still a fun time and I see why people make the comparison.

This scene cracked me up when I was watching, so I wanted to share. It doesn’t really have much to do with the main story. This Guide character is the powerful being that reincarnated the MC into his new life. The Guide wanders through time/space/dimensions looking for negative emotions to harvest, and his intention is to set up the MC in a way to generate tons of negative emotions. The Guide has occasional vignettes like this through the series.
