Interesting. I have heard bad things about the animation of this show. I have seen some things by J.C. Staff, and never really struck me as bad. Just some days ago I saw ARIA The CREPUSCOLO and ARIA The BENEDIZIONE done by J.C. Staff. Apart from getting used the different way of drawing faces compared to the other studio, it looked very pretty and I didn’t notice any lack of frames.
J.C. Staff does a lot of shows. Some of them are really good in terms of production quality (Danmachi is usually cited as some of their best work), and some of them are really not good. This kind of thing is usually down to super short timelines or tight budgets set by the production committee preventing the animation studio from actually being able to deliver the quality they are capable of.
