Sakura’s friend Rika is in a relationship with their teacher for one, apparently with an engagement in the manga according to wiki. I mostly watched the anime, so I’ll have to trust that. I think Kaho, their substitute teacher later on, is with Eriol, unless I read that one wrong. It’s been awhile.
Yeah, they removed it from the anime from what I’m reading online. Looks like Kaho and Eriol’s thing are more in the manga, too. CLAMP why?
I actually watched the English dub on TV growing up, so it’s funny to read on Wikipedia now. The fact that they tried to make Rika’s thing into being afraid of the teacher instead. I still read it as, at the very least, a crush with that original watch.
The Manga goes as far as reminding the protagonist their true objectives against the antagonist’s, warping the thesis in that really dark implications, during her “Atonement with the Father/Abyss”.
The subtleties + themes really go that far with the implications of Crow Reeds and Nadeshiko.
“Problematic age gap romances” like what?

Ohhh I forgot about that. I don’t think it’s really a big thing in the anime, definitely no engagement.
I think Kaho is one of Eriol’s underlings, I don’t remember anything romantic. It’s been a couple of years since I last rewatched it though.

A minor is in love with an adult teacher in the manga. The adult doesn’t go out of his way to deny the illicit relationship.
I haven’t read the manga, that’s why I was confused. I don’t think that relationship is really presented strongly in the anime.
