Mejor que la leche de Shinji
si a la leche
Apparently, Agua De Rey is the brand name. Nice work from the artist, SRA.YPCKA? I tried looking them up and was not able to
Bet is AINot AI, but SRA_YECKA. There’s even more pictures of this mural.
Buzz off with lazy bullshit allegations when you don’t have the slightest clue what you’re looking for.
It’s a real artist, @sra_yecka on IG, there’s literally nothing about this image that suggests AI, and there are many things about it that an AI would be hard-pressed to reproduce.
Except that the name looked like ypcka that didn’t exist
Apparently it’s real:

Oh damn, I didn’t even consider that. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Thanks for finding that, day unruined.
Found her post, there’s even video of it.
https://www.instagram.com/p/DE_tj_vsQe-/I was also looking for YPCKA and couldn’t find anything. Looking for YECKA it’s appear other murals and more pictures from this one.
1st, I’m surprised no one is going for any of the low-hanging fruit: “why is my lemmy account stuck in Spanish?”, “feliz Jueves”, “Eva girl bathwater”, etc.
2nd, since I think it’s safe to assume at least some people won’t get the multilingual pun at play, the original intent of the “Agua de Rei” name is “water of (the) king” – tho I can’t be certain if it’s a local dialect quirk or a matter of marketing that it’s “de rei” and not “del rey”
- Because alt text. Something thetechnician27@lemmy.world can’t even hover over to verify.
- Mejiko. Read🧵
Oh, sorry, alt text is such a rarity that the only place I ever check for it is XKCD. No clue who you’re calling out, tho.
If you'll allow me to be autistic for a moment to explain myself
I’ve gotten to the point of linguistic nerdery that I am just aware that there can be hundreds of regional dialectical variation among large languages like Spanish, and since I was raised with European Spanish (which likes to treat its Spanish as “real Spanish” and look down on Mexian Spanish as “y’alld’n’t’ve” troglodyte Spanish) I tried to outline that in my post. Sadly, my father was a Spaniard, so I never actually learned much Spanish.
Going in a completely different direction, since I am trying to learn Japanese I recently learned that, curiously, their name for Mexico is 墨西哥 (romanized “Mekishiko”). Not trying to correct you just a little oddity that tickles me.
- a mod that deleted a !comicstrips@lemmy.world post I posted a day ago. The koma didn’t even need a localization, but deleting is more important than editing ╮(︶▽︶)╭
- jajejijoju v. zazezizozu, “x” is used differently in 【メヒコ】。
…yo la compraría.
Is it orange though?
